English Teacher

I teach two things: spoken English, and the JavaScript and TypeScript that most people meet when they first start writing code for the web. The English lessons focus on speaking and pronunciation — the part that is hardest to practise on your own, and the quickest to improve with someone listening. Bring the situations you actually need the language for, whether that is interviews, meetings, university, or simply being understood the first time you say something. Programming lessons work the same way. We write code together during the lesson instead of working through slides, and we start from whatever you are currently stuck on rather than from chapter one. I hold a BSc from Cape Town, completed in 2016. Lessons are live and one-to-one in your browser at $15 an hour, with nothing to install.
